What is a Test Case?

Our auto-generated tests rely on User Sessions, which may result in tests containing duplicate steps or not cover the exact flow you're wanting. Rather than labeling such tests as "bad", you have the flexibility to edit the Test Case and its steps! The ability to edit a Test Case's metadata and steps means that Qualiti can quickly create all your tests and you can tweak any of them to fit your context and what you want to cover.

Skip a Test

Skipping is useful when you want to temporarily skip a Test Case from being executed. For example, a Test Case may need to be updated to the new functionality, but you don't want to archive it.

info

The test will not be executed, but still count towards Test Coverage as Skipped Test Coverage. You can unskip a test once it's ready.

  1. Click Skip on the upper-right
  2. From the confirmation modal, click Confirm to skip the test

Archive a Test

Archiving is useful when you want to remove a Test Case, but we don't "hard delete". Instead, we move the Test Case to the Deleted tests folder and remove it from any other folders so they are isolated and removed from view.

tip

You can archive and unarchive Test Cases from the Deleted tests folder

  1. Click the Archive button located on the upper-right corner
  2. From the confirmation modal, click Confirm to archive
