What is a Test Case?
In Qualiti, you can create, edit, and manage Test Cases to align with your unique workflows and testing needs, ensuring comprehensive coverage and quality assurance for your application.
Edit Metadata
Qualiti AI uses the test case title and description when generating and repairing test case steps. Make sure these fields are up-to-date and descriptive!
Edit Title
- Click on

located on the upper right - Enter a concise title for the objective of the test
- Click

Edit Description
- Click on

located on the upper right - Edit the description with the context you want to cover for that Test Case
- Click

Select Test Folders
- Click on

located on the upper right - Select the Folders you want to add this Test Case to
- Click

Select Tags
You can add tags to Test Cases to label them for different reasons. For example, to version Test Cases or to group by different areas of your application like shopping cart and favorites.
Run a Single Test Case
- Click on the
Run Test
button - Select the profile you want the test to use from the
Select Profile
drop-down field - Select the browsers you want the test to run on from the
Select Browsers
drop-down field - Click
Run Now
Skip a Test
Skipping is useful when you want to temporarily skip a Test Case from being executed. For example, a Test Case may need to be updated to the new functionality, but you don't want to delete it.
- Click
Skip
on the upper-right - From the confirmation modal, click
Confirm
to skip the test
The test will not be executed, but still count towards Test Coverage as Skipped Test Coverage. You can unskip a test once it's ready.
Delete a Test
Deleting a Test Case is helpful when you want to clean up your Test Library. When a test is deleted, it is moved to the Deleted folder and automatically removed from all other folders it's associated with.
There are two ways to delete a test:
- From the test case details page
- From the Test Library list view
Option 1: Delete from the Test Case Details
- Open the test you want to delete
- Click the
Delete
icon in the upper-right corner - In the confirmation modal, click
Confirm
to delete
Option 2: Delete from the Test Library
- In the Test Library, select the checkbox next to the test(s) you want to delete
- Click the trash icon in the action bar
- In the confirmation modal, click Delete to confirm
Restore a Test
If you accidentally delete a Test Case or need to reuse one, you can restore it from the Deleted folder.
How to Restore a Test
- Navigate to the
Deleted
folder in the Test Library - Click on the test you want to restore
- Click the Restore icon in the top-right corner of the test
- In the confirmation modal, click Confirm
The test will be restored to the Test Library and will be automatically re-added to its previous folder.
